Dear Parents
We wish you a very warm welcome to Chestnut Lane and Elangeni Schools. We have a thriving Parent Teacher Association (PTA) called the Chestnut Lane and Elangeni Schools' Association - 'CLESA' which supports both schools. All parents become automatic members whe they join either school and any funds raised are shared equally between the two schools.
Each year, CLESA raises thousands of pounds to purchase educational equipment and opportunities that are not covered by government funding. CLESA holds several fundraising events throughout the school year. We try to ensure there is a variety so there are some events for adults, some for children as well as family events as well. These include a Summer and Christmas Fair, Family Fun, Quiz Night, Children's Disco, 'Tea in a Box' and 'Sausage Sizzle'.
Over the last few years, the money raised by CLESA has provided IT equipment, new reading books, playground equipment, an eco-lodge and science equipment. The children really benefit from these extra resources which greatly enhance their school experience. We also have lots of fun along the way helping to raise funds and contributing to the life and community of both schools. It's also a great way for parents to meet other families and make new friends.
Your help is vital to making the PTA a success, so please do get involved whether this is by becoming a PTA committee members, volunteering or supporting our fundraising initiatives, for example, through our lottery or gift card scheme or signing up Easyfundraising.
